DuBaI

DUBAI
--- is the most populous city in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). It is located on the southeast coast of the Persian Gulf and is one of the seven emirates that make up the country. Abu Dhabi and Dubai are the only two emirates to have veto power over critical matters of national importance in the country's legislature. The city of Dubai is located on the emirate's northern coastline and heads up the Dubai-Sharjah-Ajman metropolitan area. Dubai is to host World Expo 2020.

I get on the Hop on Hop Off Bus to see the awesome sights of the city.
Among them are:
Burj Al Arab--- is a luxury hotel located in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. It has been called "The world's only 7 star Hotel" and is the fourth tallest hotel in the world; however, 39% of its total height is made up of non-occupiable space.
(my favorite)..Burj Khalifa---, known as Burj Dubai before its inauguration, is a skyscraper in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
It is the tallest man-made structure in the world, standing at 829.8 m
Dubai Creek is a saltwater creek located in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. It ends at Ras Al Khor Wildlife Sanctuary. Some sources say that the creek extended as far inland as Al Ain, and that the Ancient Greeks called it River Zara.
Dubai Museum is the main museum in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. It is located in the Al Fahidi Fort, built in 1787 and is the oldest existing building in Dubai.
The Dubai Mall is the world's largest shopping mall based on total area and fourteenth largest by gross leasable area. Located in Dubai, it is part of the 20-billion-dollar Downtown complex, and includes 1,200 shops. It has an aquarium and underwater zoo.

I have compiled my photos as an avp...most of the pics are not that clear
because I was inside the bus...that's why there are no names nor captions.
What I remembered on this trip--the climate-was really hot outside, considering the fact that it was still in the transition of winter to spring time. Dubai is a sign of rich economy. I am not an architecture buff, but, I am so amazed of the gigantic -tall- buildings sprouting everywhere. Each and every buildings has its own signature and design. Plants i.e. trees and flowers are so alive and colorful--the fact that it's a desert-sandy place. I enjoyed walking alone, because--there are Filipinos everywhere, I feel like I am at home. They work so well, service is superb! No wonder, Arabs like Filipinos more than other nationalities to work in their firms. Filipinos are so industrious. I know there are other Filipino restaurants around, but Chow-King is in their airport.

On a very personal note: Thank you for my host and benefactor--for making me feel safe and enjoy the city.

This is a trip I had last 2014.

As I end my travel....let me quote A. Huxley:

"To Travel is to Discover that
Everyone is wrong
About other
Countries....."
